Lg. Best for Landscape Madagascar Torch Aloe Plant (aloe vaombe)

$39.00

This massive succulent tree can grow to 10 feet tall, forming a commanding single trunk crowned with a dramatic rosette of pale green, recurved leaves that can reach 2–3 feet in length. The foliage arches gracefully outward, giving the plant a strong, architectural presence that becomes more pronounced with age.
As older leaves fade, they naturally droop downward and dry in place, gradually forming a layered skirt around the trunk. This persistent skirt adds texture and character, emphasizing the plant’s vertical form while offering a distinctive, almost sculptural silhouette in the landscape. The trunk itself remains pale and smooth, often flaking in large sections to reveal subtle tonal variation beneath.

Aloes thrive in-pots or in-ground where other plants struggle. Full sun, sandy soil, irregular watering, they’re completely comfortable in those conditions. That makes them ideal for low-water landscapes. Once established, aloe asks for very little. No constant pruning, no frequent feeding, and minimal pest issues. Smaller varieties are ideal for bright indoor windowsills and succulent dish gardens whereas larger varieties are impressive outdoors on the patio or inground. Due to the brittle nature of some Aloe species, please take care when unpacking as this is typically when most plant damage occurs. Should damage occur, simply continue to care for the plant as it will continue to produce new leaves and grow.
