Monstera Obliqua Slovakia University Plant

$41.88

Monstera obliqua ‘Slovakia, Pavla Jozefa Šafárika’ is a distinctive selection known for its glossy, oblong rainforest-green leaves that mature to larger than hand size. The blades are deeply veined and lightly puckered, giving them texture and dimensional depth. Fenestration is highly variable, with leaves displaying a mix of small perforations and dramatically oversized openings. In some cases, the holes expand so extensively that only narrow strands of leaf tissue remain along the margins, creating a bold, skeletal appearance as the plant matures.
Shorter node spacing combined with compact petioles gives this form a fuller, bushier presentation compared to more widely spaced obliqua types. The vine appears denser and more layered, especially when young. When encouraged to climb a moss pole or vertical support, leaf size increases noticeably and the fenestrations become even more pronounced, enhancing its architectural impact.
It is easy to grow in bright, indirect light with consistent moisture and well-draining soil. Naturally fast climbing, this variety establishes quickly and develops into a vigorous, well-rooted tropical specimen with rich green foliage and dramatic mature fenestration.
