Dwarf Peacock Poinciana Tree (caesalpinia pulcherrima)

The national flower of Barbados, it is commonly referred to as the Peacock Flower or Dwarf Poinciana. Evergreen in warmer climates, this striking ornamental can grow to 15-20 feet, however in frost prone climates it remains small in size and tolerates pruning well, allowing it to be planted in multiples as a hedge. The highly colorful red flowers attract hummingbirds and bees.
